How It Works

This platform facilitates the transfer of cemetery property between private parties. Transfers are processed directly with the cemetery according to its rules and procedures.

Seller

Create a listing with complete owner information. After you accept an offer, documents are prepared and submitted to the cemetery for processing.

    Listing Review

    We verify ownership and cemetery eligibility. You will be notified once your listing is approved and published.

    Receive Offers

    Interested buyers submit offers through the platform. You can review and communicate with buyers before accepting.

    Offer Accepted

    Once you accept an offer, the buyer is notified and the transfer process begins.

    Document Preparation & Signing

    Required transfer documents are prepared. You and the buyer sign as needed for the cemetery.

    Cemetery Review & Processing

    Documents are submitted to the cemetery. They review and process the transfer according to their rules.

    Transfer Completion

    Once the cemetery confirms the transfer, you receive payment, and the transaction is closed.

Buyer

Start by browsing active listings. After an offer is accepted, you will complete payment and provide new owner information for transfer documents.

    Go to Listings to view available cemetery property. Listings include:

    • Cemetery name and location
    • Property type
    • Asking price
    • Property details

    Submit an Offer

    Submit an offer through the platform. The seller will review and may accept, decline, or counter.

    Offer Accepted

    When your offer is accepted, you have 3 business days to complete payment. If payment is not completed in time, the transaction may be cancelled.

    Enter New Owner Information

    Provide the information required for the transfer documents so the cemetery can record the new ownership.

    Document Preparation & Signing

    Transfer documents are prepared. You sign where required for the cemetery to process the transfer.

    Cemetery Review & Approval

    The cemetery reviews the submission and, upon approval, records the transfer in their system.

  7. 7

    Ownership Confirmation

    You receive confirmation that the transfer is complete and you are the recorded owner of the property.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Transfer rules vary by cemetery.
  • Some properties may not be eligible for transfer.
  • If an owner is deceased, additional documentation may be required.
  • Transfer fees charged by the cemetery are separate from the sale price unless otherwise specified.
